Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit an Expeditor to join our team. The successful candidate for this position is expected to align to the Barrick DNA and drive a change within his team and the business and on a practical note will ensure activities in the supply department by continuously follow up on all orders placed at suppliers ensuring the delivery time is met and internal customers are informed. This is done through verbal and written communication with suppliers and internal customers

Reporting to: Demand & MRP Specialist

Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices, i.e. attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies, procedures and guidelines
• Reviews and analyses all pending orders in line with their delivery due dates, an manages the planned delivery time ( from PO to Consolidation point)
• Ensures that Supply Partners and Forwarders ship orders on time
• Ensures that suppliers and forwarders meet their commitment in terms of providing management reports, daily, weekly or monthly as required
• Ensures that the tracking reports are available, accurate and up-to-date each time
• Collects information relating to the status of Critical orders and communicates the same to End users through integrated meetings
• Prepares requests for shipping by airfreight for approval in accordance with the procedures
• Manages all Non-conforming items received from the time of identification to the point of resolution
• Ensures that all documents relating to expediting are correctly filed and archived
• Ensures that the company’s Policies and Procedures are observed in all undertakings
• Responsible for KPI reporting and feed back to end users regarding orders
• Performs any other tasks related to the overall objective as assigned by the respective Leader

Qualification Requirements

• Diploma in Supply Chain /Logistics /Procurement

Experience Requirements

• 2-3 Years of work experience in Logistics and or Procurement roles
• Clearing and Forwarding experience is an added advantage

Skills / Knowledge Requirements

• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
• Have a detailed understanding of various inventory management tools and systems (ERP/EMS).
• Proficient in MS Office applications – Outlook, Excel and Word etc.
• Excellent Communication Skills

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good Work Ethics
• Ability to Multi-task within the Supply Chain functions
• Ability to work in team, communicate effectively and drive results for Supply partners
