North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to recruit One (01) Superintendent Capital Projects & Planning to join our Finance team. The successful candidate for this position will effectively manage all the activities specified within the position profile at North Mara Gold Mine Limited: Superintendent Capital controller and Planning will report to Finance Manager and will be responsible for Cost control, cost management and reporting for all Capex.
RESPONSIBILITIES:“Keyword”
- Coordinate & Deliver Mobile Equipment, Drilling, Blasting & other Skills Training sessions (Induction, Regulatory) as required.
- Supervise compliance to the UG Safety & Training related Standard Operating Procedures
- Advise Management, Supervisors and Health and Safety Committees on the development and implementation of the various aspects of safety programs / systems and any other matters pertaining to the health and safety of workers.
- Conduct appropriate workplace and Underground inspections.
- Maintain Training Attendances ,Assessment Documents, Licenses & Permits and Certificates
- Provide Technical Training and Conduct Assessment to Underground Employee.
- To support all technical training i.e. internal and external.
- Conduct underground risk assessment and share weekly report based on assessment.
- Participate on Safety Leadership interaction, hazard analysis, field level risk assessment, carry out hazard elimination and also participate on accident and incident reporting and investigation.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in dealing with multi-cultural orientations
- At least 5 years industry experience in UG Safety & Training
- At least 5 Years’ experience in Technical area of UG Mining Operations
- Experience in the successful development and implementation of employee training program
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in operating Heavy Mobile Equipment in UG Mining Production Environment
SKILL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Have a sense of spatial organization
- Sound knowledge of Technical Area Operations in UG Mining/ Processing/ Asset Reliability
- Sound knowledge of relevant Underground Standard Operating Procedures
- Sound Knowledge of Long Hole UG Mining Method
- Knowledge of Safety Systems & Incident Investigation
- Knowledge on Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment
- Qualified to operate all UG equipment for which training is conducted
- Sound Knowledge of Workplace Safety & Health
- Relevant Certification & Regulatory Licenses
- Time Management & Planning
- Workplace Training & Assessing
- Computer Skills – MS Office
- Facilitation & Presentation Skills
- Communication Skills English and Swahili
- Knowledge on UG Mobile Equipment operation
- Knowledge on Mechanical Loader Operation
- Knowledge on Surface Dump Truck, Water Truck, Low Bed Operation
- Knowledge on Production Shovel, Excavator, Front End Loader, Truck, Drill Rigs
- Knowledge on UG Production Drilling & Blasting
- Leadership/ Supervisory Skills
- Light Vehicle License
- Coaching, training
