HESLB Apply for Samia Scholarship Phase 2 2023

The Higher Education Student Loans Board (HESLB) would like to inform higher education students in the country that the small window to apply for ‘Samia Scholarship’ opportunities will be open from April 1 – 10, 2023. The HESLB is committed to ensuring that all eligible students have access to financing for their higher education, and the Samia Scholarship provides an opportunity for students from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue their educational goals.

Students who are interested in applying for the Samia Scholarship must do so within the designated window of April 1 – 10, 2023. Applications received after this date will not be considered. The HESLB will be reviewing all applications and awarding scholarships on a rolling basis, so we encourage students to apply.

What is a Samia Scholarship?

The Samia Scholarship is a scholarship fund that was created to help form six graduate in Tanzania. The scholarship is open to all graduate with higher  performance. The Samia Scholarship is an opportunity for graduate to pursue their dreams and ambitions without having to worry about how they will pay for their education.

This Scholarship will cover one hundred percent (100%) of University tuition for those students who have received admission in the fields of Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine.

Who is Eligible for the HESLB Samia Scholarship?

This second window is being opened to allow 80 new students to apply for the ‘Samia Scholarship’. These students are new and high achievers in the sixth form national exam for the year 2022 in science subjects. The Samia Scholarship is a prestigious award given to 80 high-achieving students who have excelled in their form six national exams in science subjects.

These students have demonstrated their academic excellence and this scholarship will enable them to further their education and reach their full potential.

This second window of opportunity is being opened to give these new students a chance to apply for the scholarship. This is a fantastic opportunity for these students to further their education and reach their full potential.

What does This Scholarship will cover?

Funding will adhere to Higher Education Loans Board standards and guidelines to cover the following areas:

1. Tuition Fee
2. Food and accommodation allowance (BOOM)
3. Books and Stationery Allowance
4. Special Faculty Requirements
5. Practical Training
6. Research
7. Assistive devices for students with special needs

How to Apply for the HESLB Samia Scholarship: A Step-by-Step Guide

Students are advised to read the ‘Scholarship Guide for the Year 2023/2024‘ available on the website of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology ( www.moe.go.tz ). The guide provides information on the qualifications, criteria and procedure for requesting and receiving payments for beneficiaries.

After reading the guide, the scholarship applicant is advised to visit the website in the link below to check for Eligibility by enter form four index number

If you are eligible for this scholarship you will see a notification in the bottom notifying that “Already Registered. Log in as Registered User For SAMIA Scholarship Application”

After that login into your Online Loan Application and Management System OLAMS Account to fill and attach required Documents.
