## Duties and Responsibilities

 1.  To carry out lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical for undergraduate programmes;
 2.  To set, invigilate and mark undergraduate examinations;
 3.  To assist senior staff in lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical for postgraduate
     programmes;
 4.  To supervise projects and practical training for undergraduate students;
 5.  To conduct research and publish results;
 6.  To carry out consultancy and public services;
 7.  To undergo postgraduate training to PhD level;
 8.  To participate in relevant workshops and conferences; and
 9.  To perform any other relevant duties as assigned by one’s superior.

## Qualifications

Holder of Master of Arts or Masters of Science in any of the following; Gender Studies,
Development Studies, Social Work, Peace and Strategic Studies, Rural Development,
Political Sciences, International Development Studies, Ethics of Governance and 
Public Service; and a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in any of the following;
Sociology, Anthropology, , Community  Development Studies, Political Sciences, Social
Work and Psychology. Applicants for this post must possess a minimum GPA of 4.0 
or a B+ average at Master’s degree level and an undergraduate degree with a minimum
GPA of 3.8 from a local or an internationally reputable University recognized by
the Tanzania Commission for Universities.
