Programme Description

This programme aims at equipping students with Linguistic and French language knowledge and skills. The overall objective is to prepare a cadre of high-quality language skills to take care of matters related to the French language professionally. To achieve this, the programme is designed to introduce students to different Linguistic theories and various rules that govern French language. Among the theories to be covered include syntactic theories, sociolinguistic theories, pragmatic theories, language acquisition theories, proofreading theories, translation and interpretation theories, meaning related theories, phonological and morphological theories, etc. The above-mentioned theories and others will give the right competence to students in analysing language related materials in a scholarly manner.

Special Programme Requirements

• This programme has a Practical Training (PT) Requirement.
