Programme Description

The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry programme is designed to equip students with a strong 271 foundation in the core areas of chemistry analytical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry while also offering practical laboratory skills, critical thinking, and research competence. The programme aims to produce graduates who are capable of applying their knowledge in academic, industrial, and research settings to address national and global challenges. Emphasis is placed on theoretical understanding, hands-on experience, and problem-solving, to meet the growing demands of industries, academia, and other stakeholders.

Learning Outcomes

  • Apply the principles of chemistry to their everyday lives and in professional fields.
  • Solve problems and critically evaluate information with respect to chemistry issues.
  • Effectively communicate scientific ideas and the results of scientific inquiry.
  • Properly use chemical instrumentation to conduct inquiries in composition, structure and reactivity.
  • Design scientific experiments, interpret experimental results, and draw reasonable conclusions from those results.
  • Effectively use ICT knowledge and other soft skill attained in daily life.
