Programme Description

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry programme are equipped with a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of chemistry. The programme develops the ability to analyse, interpret, and apply chemical principles to real-world situations. Through laboratory training, research engagement, and problem-solving activities, students gain competencies that enable them to address challenges in industries such as pharmaceuticals, environmental management, materials science, agriculture, food processing, and quality assurance. Upon completion, graduates are prepared to contribute effectively to scientific advancement, industrial development, and innovation within the chemical field. Programme Learning Outcomes BSc. Chemistry graduates from the Department of Chemistry of the University of Dodoma will be able to: • To describe basic chemical principals, Laboratory techniques general chemistry practices. • Analyze chemical problem, • Experimental data collection • Report writing 275 • Data interpretation of experimental data skills • Assesses students' engagement with lectures, discussions, and theoretical concepts. • Assesses students' enjoyability and engagement with practical experiments and hands-on activities. • Evaluates students' perceptions of BSc degree in chemistry and its relevance to their future careers.
