Government Portfolio Coordinator Job Summary
Job Purpose/Mission 
Government Portfolio Coordinator (GPC) is responsible for the overall coordination of the government employees loan portfolio channel. This includes among others, coordination of the loan deductions for all Human Resources Officers of different Municipal and Central Government Human Resources.
He/she is also responsible for ensuring that new government leads are unlocked through the establishment of a necessary relationship with the respective Government Agent.
The GPC is further responsible for the reconciliation of all uncollected amount by ensuring that the proper reasons for the loan not uploaded is identified and recommendations to cement the recurring is addressed.

Responsibilities
- Guiding the loan deduction uploading from different Government Agencies and Municipal
- Follow up on the loan deduction list from the Ministry of Finance for repayment reconciliation
- Unlock any new Government leads through visitations and establishing connections
- Follow up on the reason for non-loan deductions and mitigate the recurring
- Assess the performance of the government channel and advice the mitigations strategies of the same
- Update the country Government HR database for easy communication and relationship enhancement
- Prepare special follow-up for the government sector with a non-check payment model and advice on the way forward
- Own the Assessment metrics for Government employees and provide updates where necessary
- Update any new Government policies that will affect the uptake of the Government channel in terms of acquisitions and loan deduction
- Explore any sales opportunities of the Government channel and advice the team on the implementation of the strategic sales
- Ensure that all necessary KPIs of the Government loan channels are aligned with the local and global target
- Training all stakeholders on matters related to Government employees channel
- Ensure that the customer gets an appropriate and timely customer experience
- Provide strategies for Portfolio quality improvement
- Undertake any other related duties as assigned by the line management from time to time
Knowledge and skills 
- Government relations management
- Outstanding negotiation skills
- Credit management
- Computer literacy, particularly good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite/365 Office Apps
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in handling the government employees loan portfolio from any reputable financial institution
- Previous experience in a business dealing with loans is an added advantage
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Microfinance, or any other related field.
Language(s): 
- English
- Kiswahili
 Technology:
- Experience in and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite/365 Office Apps
