A group life servicing underwriter is responsible for providing support to policyholders and agents. They handle a variety of tasks, such as processing death claims, issuing stop-loss reports, and issuing proof of insurability. They also work with clients to help them understand their coverage and answer any questions they may have.

To ensure prudent and effective underwriting while doing quotation for group business schemes. To maintain and build long lasting clients’ relationships.

Responsibilities

General servicing and preparation of both renewal and new Group Schemes i.e Group Credit Life and Group Life schemes.
Preparing policy documents and Endorsements for Group Life schemes.
Preparing group business quotations.
Customer service

Attending customers matters
Respond to email and letters from clients and brokers/agencies

Ensure adherence to TAT on response to customer’s queries.
Ensure adherence to TAT on policy documents and Endorsements.
Ensure adherence to TAT on quotations.
Ensure regular follow up on quotations.
Ensure entrants and exits are done timely and correctly.
Medical underwriting
Ensure timely preparation of Group business commissions payable to brokers/agents.
Regular visits to Clients/Brokers
Group Life and Group Credit life Quotation preparations
Conducting customer awareness sessions – Group & Credit businesses.
Other duties as delegated

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Insurance or equivalent
Computer Literate

Functional Skills

Policy processing
Explain company underwriting policies.
Relevant insurance Knowledge
Administration and planning skills
Excellent communication skills
Good analytical and interpretation skills
Good computer (i.e Excel) knowledge
