NATIONAL HOUSING CORPORATION (NHC)
National Housing Corporation (NHC) is under the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Settlements Development. The Ministry is represented by the Board of Directors which is responsible for the corporate policies and strategies. The day to day management of NHC’s business is overseen by the Director General who is responsible to the Board of Directors. Effective from July, 1994, the Corporation’s portfolios have been divided into profit centers which are income generating and self-sustaining directorates and cost centers which play a supportive role. This role mandates the NHC to undertake an array of business.

On behalf of National Housing Corporation (NHC) President’s Office Public Service Recruitment Secretariat invites competent, experienced, highly organized and self-motivated Tanzanians to fill vacant post mentioned below;
HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER II – 1 POST
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To support learning and development programs in the Corporation;
- To process staff long service recognition awards as per the NHC Collective Agreement;
- To participate in the management of the Corporation’s manning levels;
- To prepare adverts of all approved vacancies on behalf of the Corporation;
- To establish and maintain a recruitment file for each role advertised;
- To liaise with user department in shortlisting candidates;
- To arrange all necessary logistics for employee interviews;
- To write offer letters to successful candidates and regret letters to unsuccessful candidates;
- To conduct reference checks on all new employees;
- To oversee that all necessary documents are duly filled and documented for all new employees; and
- To perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of Bachelor Degree in either Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Personnel Management or Business Administration majoring in Human Resource Management, Commerce majoring in Human Resources Management and Industrial Relations or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania generally with an age not above 45 years of age except for those who are in Public Service;

- Professional Registration and Training Certificates from respective Registration or Regulatory Bodies, (where applicable);
- Birth certificate;
- Attaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted:-
- Form IV and form VI results slips;
- Testimonials and all Partial transcripts;
- An applicant must upload recent Passport Size Photo in the Recruitment Portal;
- An applicant employed in the Public Service should route his application letter through his respective employer;
- An applicant who is retired from the Public Service for whatever reason should not apply;
- An applicant should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts;
- Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education should be verified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
- Professional certificates from foreign Universities and other training institutions should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE);
- An applicant with special needs/case (disability) is supposed/advised to indicate;
