The Institute for the Prevention and Combating of Corruption (TAKUKURU-PCCB) is a public institution established under the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Law No. 11 of 2007. This law was enacted after the repeal of the Law for the Prevention of Corruption (TAKURU) Chapter 329 which was revised in 2002.
The establishment of this body came after the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania passed the 2007 Prevention and Combating Corruption Bill on April 16, 2007.
