The Latham School is a private School, which offers a British international curriculum. We are an authorised Cambridge international School. Nursery and Reception Children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage programme. This is followed by the English National Curriculum up to IGCSE. Primary Class Teachers
We are seeking applications from enthusiastic and caring teachers who are passionate about education to join our existing committed team. The successful applicants will be outstanding teaching practitioners, who will also possess other pastoral strengths. High levels of ICT skills are essential. Involvement in the extra-curricular life of the School is a requirement.
Required for January 2021 or sooner.
The successful applicants will have:
- A minimum of 3 years teaching experience working with Primary aged children.
- A degree and a teaching qualification;
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
- High levels of ICT capability;
- A commitment to raising pupils’ achievements through setting high standards and by promoting effective teaching and learning;
- A good understanding of how children learn in both structured and unstructured setting;.
- The ability to assess in line with threshold (outcome) standards;
- The ability to work closely with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents, carers and other professionals.
In addition, the successful applicant will:
- Have a passion to inspire pupils and do whatever it takes to achieve success;
- Have proven, successful experience in teaching the core areas of the English National Curriculum, or an equivalent international curriculum;
- Have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and be experienced in establishing and maintaining good professional relationships.

Subject Specialist Teachers
We require high quality graduate teachers who have experience of teaching an international curriculum (eg. British, IB). All teachers must have up-to-date knowledge of their own subject, and experience in pupil-centred learning. We are looking for outstanding teachers and team players, who enjoy teaching and have a desire to contribute to the development of the school.

- A minimum of 3 years teaching of their specialist subject in an international school;
- A degree and a teaching qualification;
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
- High levels of ICT capability;
- A commitment to raising pupils’ achievements through setting high standards and by promoting effective teaching and learning;
- A good understanding of how secondary pupils learn in both structured and unstructured settings;
- The ability to assess in line with threshold (outcome) standards;
- The ability to work closely with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents, carers and other professionals.
In addition, the successful applicant will:
- Have a passion to inspire pupils and do whatever it takes to achieve success;
- Have proven, successful experience in teaching their subject in line with the requirements of the English National Curriculum, or an equivalent international curriculum;
- Have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and be experienced in establishing and maintaining good professional relationships.
Qualified teachers who can offer a combination of subjects will be given preference. Preference will be given to Tanzanian nationals.
Some positions may be available as part-time.
