The Water and Sanitation Kigoma Region Project (WASKIRP) is a 5-year project which started in October 2017. It aims at providing sustainable access to safe drinking water in rural areas in Kigoma Region.The project is establishing ComÂmunity Owned Water Supply Organizations (COWSO), constructing new water supply systems and rehabilitating existing schemes in six Districts in the Kigoma region besides facilitating improved domestic water management in the beneficiary communities.

Social Engineering (SE) Consultant
Purpose
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Social Engineering Consultant will build a holistic organizational capacity of COWSOs to ensure they become professional and efficient for sustainable management of water schemes under their respective jurisdictions. He/she will work with 3 NationalTechnical Assistants (NTA-SE’s at district level who will in turn work directly with the COWSOs.The SE Consultant will also support the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in planning and executing software aspects ofWASKiRP including promotion of community sanitation and safe practices in personal hygiene and domestic water management.
