    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. To assist in removal and installation of aircraft components, repair, assembling and testing of aircraft systems;
    2. To assist in repair, test and calibration of equipment and tools as per requirements of the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority;
    3. To assist in planning of preventive maintenance for aircraft engines system components equipment, tools and hangar;
    4. To supervise Aircraft Technicians in a particular field;
    5. To perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor;
    6. To assist in removal and installation of aircraft components, repair;
    7. Assembling and testing of aircraft system; viii. To assist in repair, test, overhaul and calibration of equipment and tools as per requirements of the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority;
    8. To record accurately all log books and associated data of the aircraft and components and other items as specified in the approved maintenance programme;
    9. To assist in planning of preventive maintenance for aircraft engines system Components equipment, tools and hangar;
    10. To assist in compiling and updating aircraft maintenance and component life; and
    11. To perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications

    A holder of Bachelor Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or its equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by TCAA or ICAO who has attended and passed an Ab-initio training with Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License issued by TCAA.

    OR

    A holder of NTA Level 6 (Ordinary Diploma/FTC) in one of the following Engineering fields: Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution who has attended and passed an Ab-initio training with Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License issued by TCAA.

    OR

    A holder of A-Level Secondary Education Certificate with at least two principal passes in Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry who has attended and passed an Ab-initio training with Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License issued by TCAA.
