Duties and Responsibilities

1. To assist in the supervision of data collection for analyzing meteorological
2. data and charts
3. To Code, decode and transmits meteorological and weather messages
4. To provide plots observations on charts
5. To perform upper air (i.e Operates Radiosondes and Pilot ballon ascent)
6. To  process autographic data and Computes simple statistics
7. To receive, edits and transmits meteorological messages, data and products
8. To assist  in the supervision of data collection for analyzing meteorological data and chat
9. To check the accuracy of gathered data for provision of meteorological services in the various fields such as Agrometeorology, Hydrometeorology, Marine, Environment, Seismology etc
10. To collect data for meteorological flight plan and material documentation for aviation
11. To  communicate and transmit weather information to different users
12. To receive and transmit aeronautical information from/to aircraft and ground stations
13. To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

Holder of Diploma in Meteorology from recognized institution.
