Duties and Responsibilities

1. To keep and maintain patients’ records;
2. To make casts and taking measurement as instructed;
3. To fabricate various related appliances;
4. To perform fitting of patients under the supervision and modification of defective appliance with the guidance of superior staff;
5. To examine patients before undertaking treatment;
6. To advise patients on how to use and maintain artificial limbs and body support devices;
7. To ensure adherence to standard operating procedure and BMH business process;
8. To perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Holder of Diploma in Orthotics/Prosthetics from a recognized Institution.  Must be registered by the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
