**Position Overview:**
Reporting directly to the Country Director in Tanzania, the Kasulu Regional Manager will oversee operations at the Kasulu Regional Office of Water Mission Tanzania. Responsibilities include leadership, management, and ensuring adherence to the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Key duties involve office and project management, as well as overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of water treatment and sanitation systems in various settings.
As a pivotal figure within Water Mission Tanzania, the Regional Manager will foster a culture grounded in biblical principles, promoting excellence and accountability among staff. This role requires a commitment to reside in Kasulu, with occasional fieldwork for extended periods.
**Responsibilities:**
**General Responsibilities:**
– Maintain a strong Christian ethos and demonstrate servant leadership.
**Other Responsibilities:**
– Uphold and promote Water Mission Tanzania’s vision, mission, standards, and values.
– Manage office(s) and projects within approved scope, schedule, and budgets.
– Provide timely and accurate reports on office and project status.
– Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to standards and values.
– Conduct engineering fieldwork and design to high standards.
– Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and manage multiple projects.
– Foster communication with staff and partner organizations.
– Provide training on maintenance, operation, and sustainability of solutions.
– Participate in disaster response activities as necessary.
– Present to stakeholders, donors, and volunteers.
– Perform engineering tasks including hydraulic design calculations.
– Ensure compliance with Water Mission Code of Conduct and policies.
**Requirements:**
**Relationship and Alignment:**
– Alignment with WM’s Statement of Faith and core values.
**Education and Experience:**
– Preferably WASH experience.
– Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
– 7+ years of progressive project and people management experience.
– 2+ years of managerial experience in development NGOs.
**Skills & Abilities:**
– Strong problem-solving and consensus-building skills.
– Ability to cultivate leadership and uphold organizational values.
– Adaptability to changing environments and requests.
– Excellent cross-cultural communication skills.
– Proficiency in English required.
– Willingness to travel in-country up to 4 weeks per year, including rugged terrain.
