Job Summary:
Handle cash transactions and provide customer service within the branch.
Job Description:
40% Cash Counter Service:
– Process cheque cashing and withdrawals.
– Supervise tellers and manage cash transactions.
– Handle cash and cheque deposits/credits.
– Conduct foreign currency transactions.
– Address general customer inquiries.
– Ensure cash balance and assist in reconciliation.
30% Cash Management – Strong Room Custodianship:
– Sort and manage cash in the strong room.
– Monitor cash levels and order replenishment as needed.
– Address cash-related issues promptly.
– Manage teller and vault interactions.
20% Cash Management – ATMs:
– Maintain ATM cash supply and cleanliness.
– Monitor ATM uptime and address issues.
– Reconcile ATM cash and report faults.
10% Colleague Support:
– Provide cover for branch custodian.
– Offer feedback and share knowledge with team members.
Risk and Controls Objectives:
– Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
– Manage risks effectively and contribute to a positive risk culture.
– Proactively engage with regulatory bodies.
Technical Skills/Competencies:
– Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
– Leadership abilities.
Knowledge, Expertise, and Experience:
– Detailed understanding of cash handling processes.
– Experience in dealing with physical cash.
Training Requirements:
– Essential: Telephone skills, PD team member training, Know Your Customer/Suspicious Transaction Monitoring/Anti-Money Laundering, Fraud Prevention/Awareness, Operational awareness, ATM training.
– Preferred: Customer service, PC skills, Product training, General internal audit practice.
