**JOB ANNOUNCEMENT**
**Position Available: Social Work Coordinator (1 Position)**
Amani Centre for Street Children, a nationally registered NGO with branches in the Arusha and Singida Regions, headquartered in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented professional for the position of Social Work Coordinator in Moshi. The successful candidate will lead a team of professional social workers and report directly to the Director of Programmes. Close collaboration with Programme Coordinators in Arusha and Singida will be essential to ensure the effective operation of social work teams.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
– Supervising all activities and projects within the Social Work department at Amani Moshi.
– Providing guidance and support to Reunification Officers and Street Outreach Officers to facilitate successful reunifications and safe rescues for children and youth supported by Amani.
– Establishing positive relationships with stakeholders and relevant government departments, and arranging meetings as needed.
– Serving as a member of the Amani Management team, representing the Social Work department and contributing to decision-making processes.
– Developing and managing the social work budget.
**Qualifications:**
– Master’s or bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, counseling, child psychology, or a related field.
– Ability to cultivate positive relationships with local government agencies, including the police and social welfare departments.
– Proficiency in English and Swahili, both spoken and written.
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior social work or related position.
– Strong computer skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
– Experience working with children and youth is advantageous.
